We hear so much about bad things in the world. They most certainly are a reality. Equally important to keep in mind is that love is also an ever present part of our reality.

With that in mind, I am inviting you — readers, subscribers (and your friends not yet on here) — to share your real life stories with others.

Amplify the Good

This is a way to continually be reminded of all the good that is in the world, and a way to fuel our individual and collective sense of hope and optimism. The fact is that humans, as a species, could not have survived this far without empathy, cooperation, and kindness.

Media often portrays violence — but that is just one part of our human existence. Remember the phrase “If it bleeds it leads?” What we hear about the world is determined through this lens and is designed to promote profit at the expense of quality of life.

Part of turning the tide on quiet desperation is to amplify the good — be it on an individual level or on a societal level.

I know that many, if not all of you have inside of you at least one real-life story that illustrates love in action. So I am inviting you to share it with us.

As the WLF is just getting off the ground, it is going to take us a few days to set up a formal submission structure. In the meantime, if you have a story or idea for one, please message me. If you can keep your submission at or under 1,500 words, that would be great.
